A Note...
To a point, art is always controversial as art offers a vantage point and that viewpoint is always jaded as it is fundamentally one sided. As you can see, I offer many different ideas within my artwork but my aim is always to point out the truth that the longing for safety and security is at the center of all human desire. Each of my paintings highlights an element of emotional poverty and seeks to offer an answer to questions pertaining to the inescapable inequality woven into the framework of all humanity. Whether the subject is an abused child or a jilted lover, I portray individuals who are struggling to feel safe. Ultimately, equality is the essence and foundation for my definition of security.

"I couldn’t breathe inside of that world and everyone around me knew that I was suffocating but didn’t care. It was more important to teach me to pretend and hide my brokenness. I became a refugee within collapsing borders and the safe zone grew smaller and smaller. " - Tito
"Maybe I thought that I deserved it. Maybe I was not creative enough. Maybe I was not intellectual enough. Maybe I was just too lazy. Maybe I simply believed the filthy things that people have said about me. Maybe I was designed to be a disappointment.

"I am a killer. My heart was broken so I cut it out. My mind was aware, so I poisoned it. My mouth was pleading, so I smothered it. My eyes showed weakness, so I pulled them out. My hands incessantly prayed, so I removed them. My extremities plotted an escape, so I bound them. My spirit lied, so I refused it nourishment and watched it starve to death. " - Tito
